AlohaServe.net provides Joomla compatible hosting.

What is "Joomla compatible"?

1. Our server has the PHP register_globals variable turned off by default as recommended for Joomla.
2. Our server is running PHP-SuEXEC to provide better security and to eliminate permission problems.
   

We do not currently offer domain registration services. Why?

1. Because it's less expensive for you to register with a discount registrar such as GoDaddy.com.
2. Because we recommend that you never register your domain with the same company that provides your hosting.

1. Register your domain name at godaddy.com or other registrar.
2. Select a hosting package that will meet your current needs (you can always upgrade later if you need to). For most beginning Joomlaians the Tiny or Starter packages will do fine.
3. Click the "Order" or "Order Now" button for the package you want.
4. On the "Product Configuration" screen, enter your domain and tld in the spaces provided and click the "Click to continue" button.
5. On the next screen review the hosting plan configuration and select your preferred billing cycle. Note that we do offer a discount on longer billing cycles. After selecting your billing cycle click the "Add to Cart" button.
   
6. At this time, if you have a promotional or coupon code, enter it in the space provided and click the "Checkout" button.
7. Enter your customer details. All fields are required. Your billing system login will be the email address and password you enter here. Note that the hosting account creation system will automatically create a username and password which is different from what you enter here. You will receive your hosting account username/password in your welcome email.
8. Click the "Complete Order" button and you will be transferred to the PayPal site to complete your payment. Your hosting account will be automatically created once you have completed your payment.
 
Note that a PayPal account is not required unless you want to set up an automatic subscription payment via PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account you can click the link to pay via Credit Card.
